IU Health Bloomington Hospital
The new IU Health Bloomington Hospital, paired with the IU School of Medicine Academic Health Sciences Building became the IU Health Regional Academic Health Center, opening its doors to patients in December of 2021.
The seven level structure houses surgical services, emergency department with trauma center, cancer center, women’s center with neonatal intensive care, imaging and acute care patient wings.
Loftus Engineering was responsible for all aspects of the mechanical, plumbing, electrical and lighting design for the 75,000 square foot specialty clinic building, housing the OB-GYN, Cardiology, Cardiac Rehab and Oncology Clinics. Additionally, Loftus Engineering designed the lighting for all patient care and public spaces in the hospital, including main lobby, dining, chapel, waiting spaces, as well as all patient treatment rooms.
